A missing access instruction, unconfirmed specification or unclear completion action can waste a site visit. Short customer checklists can help independent tradespeople and service providers request simple confirmations without relying on scattered messages.
The public demo is for fictional information, not real client records.
REAL-WORLD WORKFLOW IDEAS
Useful checklists from booking to handover
These examples are for planning and communication, not substitutes for a site survey, qualified safety assessment, contract, regulatory record, or any legally required consent.
01
Prepare for a first site visit
Before travelling to a property, check that the visit is possible and the customer understands what you need to inspect.
Example checklist
Confirm the agreed appointment date and arrival window
Identify the person who can grant property access
Check parking and entrance instructions
Confirm the broad problem or requested service
Confirm whether a separate site survey is needed
The customer has a short list of practical confirmations, while technical and safety decisions remain with qualified professionals.
02
Agree a fitting or installation
A customer accepts an initial estimate but has not decided on every non-technical preference. Keep preferences separate from specifications and contractual changes.
Example checklist
Confirm the agreed colour or finish
Confirm the approved appointment window
Agree how the customer will prepare the work area
Check that the customer has received the scope of works
Identify changes that require a revised quotation
A checklist can flag decisions still outstanding without presenting an informal checkbox as a contractual variation.
03
Complete a customer handover
A finished visit may still require clear instructions, a follow-up appointment or an outstanding customer acknowledgement.
Example checklist
Confirm the customer received operating guidance
Explain who to contact for a follow-up
Identify any remaining non-urgent work
Confirm that required documents were delivered by an appropriate secure method
Record any requested clarification
Use your usual certified paperwork and contractual documentation where required. ONEPING only illustrates status tracking.
A SIMPLE METHOD
A good customer request is short and specific
Use these principles whether you use ONEPING or a traditional checklist. Clear expectations and a single place for answers reduce confusion.
01
Ask for only the practical details needed at the current stage. Avoid collecting unnecessary personal information.
02
Separate customer preferences from professional checks, safety certification and legally significant decisions.
03
Explain what happens if a question is unanswered before the appointment.
04
Send the private request link directly to the intended customer, rather than publishing it.
05
Keep statutory, financial and sensitive records in the secure systems required by your trade or business.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Helpful answers
Is ONEPING a job management or estimating system?
No. ONEPING focuses on short checklists, private request links and visibility of replies. It does not calculate quotes, assign field engineers, manage stock or issue compliance certificates.
Does the customer need to download an app?
No. The recipient can use a private link in a supported web browser and does not have to create a ONEPING account.
Can I ask for a customer's full address?
While the app is a fictional-data preview, do not enter real customer addresses or confidential information. Only use imaginary examples to explore the workflow.
Does it send appointment reminders automatically?
Not yet. Email reminders are a planned future capability, not part of the current preview.
